Biography:
I am a graduate student in the Departments of History at The Pennsylvania State University, Ph.D. program. My research focuses on the issues of identity, nationalism, and modernity in the context of early exile Tibetan history (1950s—1980s). I am particularly interested in understanding the historical processes from the perspective of the margins. I have previously worked on the history of exile Tibetan Bonpo community and presented a paper on the same titled “Construction of Hegemonic National Identity in Exile: A Case Study of Exile Bon Community” at International Association for Tibetan Studies (IATS), Bergen, Norway, 2016.
