Jesus Llerena

Jesus Llerena is a Peruvian historian who focuses on the modern Andean region, especially Peru. He is interested in the history of Andean ethnography and South American scientific racism. Jesus obtained his B.A. and professional title with a thesis covering the history of Peruvian military medicine and race in the early 20th century. Before joining the Pennsylvania State University History Department, he worked in ethnographic museums and UNESCO as a public historian, as well as a teaching assistant in courses of Social History and Anthropological History at National University of San Marcos, Peru.
