Biography:
Le Duc Anh is a dual-title Ph.D. student in History and Asian Studies at Penn State. Before coming to Penn State, he worked as a researcher at the Institute of Vietnamese Studies, Vietnam National University.
A Mường scholar from Vietnam, his research examines the history of ethnic minority communities in the transborder regions connecting China, Vietnam, and Laos. He is particularly interested in upland societies, state formation, border-making, and ethnic identities in Northwest Vietnam.
